Position : Site Winemaker

Company : Constellation Brands New Zealand & Australia

Report to : Head of Wineries; work closely with Chief Winemaker.

Job Description

Responsible for all winemaking operations at Selaks Winery, contributing to two vintages with a transition period before and after the Winemaker's parental leave.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of two (Operations Winemaker and Senior Laboratory Technician)

Develop wine style and quality for Selaks Winery wines

Plan winemaking activities including bottling schedule and dispatch

Manage and audit Wine Quality Control systems from fruit picking to bottling

Assist in annual harvest planning, logistics, and wider needs as required

Provide input into long-term / annual operating and vintage plans

About You

Oenological or related Food Science degree / diploma

Minimum 5 years of Winemaking experience

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills

Strong understanding of Wine Quality Management systems
