About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Speech Language Therapist to join the Starship Community service. The primary purpose of the role is to provide a family centred, culturally sensitive, community based, safe, effective, outcome focused speech language therapy service to children with disabilities referred to the Multidisciplinary Child Development Service.

About the Team / Service / Location

Based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Starship Community provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children; young people, their families and whānau living within the Auckland area. A part of the Starship Child Health directorate, our nursing; allied health and technical staff are responsible for delivering health care services to children; young people, and whānau in their home; school and community settings. Service delivery is via an inter-disciplinary team approach, centred around three guiding principles;

About you

To succeed in this role, you will :

Ideally you will have previous paediatric experience, including experience in paediatric dysphagia, although applicants with the right qualifications and keen interest in providing excellent paediatric Speech Language Therapy will be considered. If you have a commitment to delivering and improving community-based models of care with quality outcomes and objectives this may be the role for you!
