Senior Project Engineer – AucklandJoin to apply for the Senior Project Engineer - Auckland role at McConnell Dowell.About The RoleIf you're a highly experienced engineer looking to make your mark on some of New Zealand's most complex and meaningful infrastructure projects, this is your opportunity.We're on the hunt for a Senior Project Engineer to join the McConnell Dowell whanau starting in our New Business team at the Auckland Head Office in Ellerslie.

Here, you'll work side-by-side with Bid Managers and Estimators, shaping winning tender strategies, methodologies, and programmes for landmark water, marine, and transport infrastructure projects.

This is more than just pre-construction.

You'll be at the table from day one influencing how projects are designed, planned, and delivered.

Then, when the win is secured, you'll transition into the project delivery team, turning your tender vision into a reality on site.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating with Managers and Superintendents on engineering, temporary works, scheduling, and project status.Controlling fabrication and field construction engineering schedules for overall programs.Monitoring and coordinating the preparation, maintenance, and modification of construction schedules, methods, manning charts, and equipment requirements.Advising on actions to prevent or address undesirable trends in progress.Interpreting engineering documents and drawings for field personnel.Providing general technical assistance to supervisory personnel.About YouCivil Engineering qualification with a minimum of 10 years' experience in civil engineering.Proven success delivering water sector multidisciplinary, marine, and transport infrastructure projects.Strong background in tender methodology development and programme planning.Highly skilled at managing schedules, resources, and priorities to achieve outstanding results.Sound knowledge of HS&E practices with the ability to lead by example.Exceptional communicator with the confidence to collaborate and influence at all levels.Don't tick all the boxes but you're still excited about this opportunity?
