We have numerous clients throughout New Zealand and pride ourselves on being a forward thinking and innovative company.We currently have numerous vacancies for skilled Industrial Painters to join our high performing team.While this job is Wellington-based, you may be required to travel to other regions as part of this job.Type : Full-time, permanentPay rate : $28.00-$38.00, depending on skills and experienceMinimum guaranteed hours : 40 hours weeklyThe key tasks you will be involved with include : Follow all Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental systems and proceduresTo undertake waterblasting of various substrates, e.g. steel beams, concrete walls and buildingsWorking at heights and around access machinery and equipmentTo prepare surfaces using hand and power tools to client specificationTo sandblast steel substrates on various client sites using abrasive blast equipmentTo use airless spray equipment to apply specific protective paints to specificationTo use WFT combs, electronic gauges and record QA / QC recordsTo mix and apply various types of paints according to specificationsTo undertake training as requiredTo be flexible on location and staying away from home as required by projectsTo drive company vehicles as requiredAbout You : We are looking for people who have at least three years' protective coatings experience in any combination of the following skills, and / or relevant qualifications : Abrasive blastingWater blastingPreparation of steelwork (mechanical and hand prep)Spray paintingIndustrial paintingYou will be highly motivated, physically fit, enjoy working in teams and demonstrate a commitment to learning and growing.
