Are you a passionate clinical leader ready to drive meaningful change in primary mental health?

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead – Primary Mental Health to join our team to help us deliver innovative, equitable, and culturally responsive mental health services across the Waikato region.

As our Clinical Lead – Primary Mental Health, you will :

Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our primary mental health programmes and initiatives.

Champion equity and access, ensuring whanau are at the centre of everything we do.

Collaborate across the health system and community partners to break down barriers and deliver integrated, person-centred care.

Oversee programme delivery, contract management, and quality improvement activities.

Support and guide a dedicated team, fostering a culture of partnership, innovation, and excellence.

He korero mou : About you

A health professional qualification (as per the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 or Social Work Registration Act 2003).

A tertiary qualification in Health, Social Services, or similar (postgraduate qualification in Mental Health is preferred).

At least 5 years' clinical experience, ideally in primary care and / or mental health.

Proven leadership and service delivery experience.

Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tikanga Maori, and a commitment to health equity.

Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.

A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in mental health care.
