Right now, we're looking for a Media Account Manager who's ready to dive into the action.
This is a key role in our media team working on an exciting portfolio.
You'll be the glue between clients, suppliers, account service teams, and our wider media whanau.
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't your average "manage the spreadsheet" kind of role.
You'll be a trusted partner to clients, a sharp media thinker, and the go-to person for making things happen.
You'll help guide campaigns from briefing to billing with strategic insight, calm under pressure, and a whole lot of heart.
Closer Look
Lead day-to-day client communications across your portfolio, building trust and driving confidence.
Translate client objectives into smart, creative, insight-driven media strategies.
Use research tools and audience data to prepare targeted recommendations and compelling rationale.
Keep your finger on the pulse of consumer and category trends to inform planning and manage the end to end media planning and buying process.
Collaborate closely with internal performance and investment teams to ensure accurate and timely briefs.
Analyse media proposals, review audience data and prepare meaningful pre- and post-campaign analysis to optimise future.
Ensure media billings and invoicing are timely, accurate, and drama-free.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and insights that wow clients and inform internal decision-making.
Provide support and guidance to junior team members (and help them grow).
Build strong relationships with clients, media partners, and cross-agency collaborators and know when to raise a flag—proactively alerting senior team members to potential issues or client concerns.
Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing and stay up to date on industry news and innovations.
What You Bring
3+ years' experience in a media planning, buying, or account management role (agency-side experience preferred).
Strong understanding of integrated media planning—digital, traditional, and everything in between.
Confident in client comms and internal collaboration.
Data-savvy with experience interpreting research, tracking performance, and making strategic recommendations.
Meticulous with budgets and timelines.
Comfortable working across multiple campaigns and clients at once.
Proactive, curious, and not afraid to challenge the status quo (in a good way).
Experience using media tools / platforms and Microsoft Excel like a boss.

Location
This is an Auckland based role, working from our humming, creative and dynamic office in central Freemans Bay.
