Job descriptionMinimum of 4 years of experience in relevant areas. Experience supporting end users and business representatives, managing incidents and requests, and completing routine maintenance tasks. Experience with vitalised Windows Server environments (2008R2-2016) and managing virtual Windows Server operating systems across multiple environments. Experience with Linux server administration, maintenance, and patching (Red Hat 6). Knowledge and experience in protecting information for a Government agency, with understanding of Government legislation and policy (e.g., PRA, PSR, NZISM). Experience with SAFe or a similar agile framework. Effective communication skills, able to explain technical details to end users. Experience with VMware and Hyper-V. Responsibilities
- The role involves performing regular preventative maintenance tasks (daily, weekly, monthly), as well as providing incident and request support and management.
- Managing ITSM (IT Service Management) workflows.
- Supporting automation and other continuous improvement activities.
- Leading and supporting other engineers in delivering the above activities.
- Engaging with end users and business representatives, translating complex technology into clear and concise communication.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must be able to maintain a minimum of TOP SECRET and preferably a TOP SECRET SPECIAL security clearance. This is a mandatory requirement for the position.
