Key responsibilitiesWe are seeking an Infrastructure Lead who is passionate about leading a team in the implementation of security in depth practices and researching innovative approaches to solving interesting technical challenges.
You will also play a critical role in using your technical experience to deliver projects across a number of domains.Your ability to lead people will play a key part to your success in this role, from identifying training and development opportunities for staff through to stakeholder management.
These key skills will ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of infrastructure capabilities to support GCSB's activities.While the role is extremely varied, some of the key duties include : Lead the development, implementation and support of systems across a range of capabilities and technologies such as cross domain platforms, testing infrastructure and information assurance systemsEngage with stakeholders across teams in the branch and directorate to achieve their outcomes in support of GCSB activitiesInvestigate new technology stacks to innovate and augment current systems; andProvide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers working to develop and implement capabilities that enable the conduct of operations at the heart of the New Zealand Intelligence Community.Who we're looking for7+ years of experience as an ICT practitioner across multiple domainsProven experience leading multidisciplinary teams with a focus on systems and infrastructure engineeringStrong technical skills, with experience in areas like Linux, network administration, cyber security, virtualisation, or automation tools would be an advantageBefore you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must : Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsBe eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearanceOrdinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.The NZIC treats all applications for employment in the strictest confidence and we expect that you maintain a similar level of confidentiality during the recruitment process and throughout your career.
