Graymont, a global leader in lime and limestone solutions, is seeking a passionate and driven HSE Specialist based in Otorohanga and other New Zealand sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a site-based HSE specialist to drive improved performance, implement Graymont's health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and implement HSE initiatives for continuous improvement
Empower teams through training, auditing, and risk management
Serve as the site HSE expert for systems and process improvements
Manage incident reporting (ICAM) and corrective actions
Support injury management and return-to-work programs
Liaise with regulatory and community stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and influence others to achieve positive HSE outcomes.
Qualifications
National WHS and / or Environmental qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and safe practices
5+ years' proven experience in heavy industry, mining, or quarries
Proficiency in ICAM-led investigations; auditing and training qualifications / experience
Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making abilities; and excellent communication and influencing skills.
