We are looking for a skilled Cook for a busy Restaurant and Takeaway.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty.
The role offers a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional overtime.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before and after cooking.
- Control the temperature of stoves, ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment during food preparation.
- Serve food in correct portions, ensuring attractive presentation and garnishing.
- Store ingredients and prepared food safely, following proper temperature and hygiene practices.
- Helping other kitchen staff when necessary.
- Keep the kitchen area clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.The ideal candidate should have at least one year of relevant experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Experience in cooking Indian cuisine.
Experience in Tandoor or Curry style cooking.
