Local Doctors Dawson Road, a long-established clinic in the Tamaki Health organisation, offers urgent care and general practice services seven days a week, with a strong focus on accessible, comprehensive healthcare.
With a welcoming atmosphere and a dedicated team of doctors and nurses, the clinic provides care for a range of minor injuries and illnesses, as well as ongoing medical needs such as chronic disease management and mental health support.
Conveniently, private dental services are available on-site, and the clinic's new hybrid system allows patients to book appointments with doctors through the Manage My Health Portal.
As an ACC-accredited clinic, Local Doctors Dawson Road is committed to delivering high-quality care to the local community.
The clinic is open every day from 8 : 00am to 8 : 00pm, including weekends.
About the fixed-term position
Our Registered Nurse plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation of our clinics; reporting to the clinic's Charge Nurse and working with your Cluster Manager, Clinical Lead & Admin team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper triage and patient care.
You'll have the opportunity to work across both General Practice (GP) and Urgent Care (UC) settings.
We're offering a fixed-term, full-time (1 FTE) position for a period of six months to cover extended leave, with rotating shifts across the clinic's operational hours until December
Key Responsibilities
Assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of patient requirements
Training of new nurse
Evaluation & Development of junior nurses
You will need to have :
A current NZNC APC
General Practice and Urgent Care experience (Preferable)
Preferred experience with Medtech Evolution, Medtech 32 or similar.
(desirable)
Excellent English written and communication skills
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
Someone committed to health equity and cultural competency and can demonstrate an understanding of Tikanga Maori, Kawa Maori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
