Rainbow Centre Training and Consultancy plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission through developing capabilities of persons with disabilities, caregivers, sector professionals and partners.
The Senior Trainer, as a subject matter expert in a specific field, works with internal and external stakeholders to analyse learning needs in order to develop and deliver high quality and impactful competency-based learning programmes to meet capability development needs of different target audiences.
The role works in multiple different environments, including different learning venues and client sites, and regularly interacts with digital systems.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Learning Needs Analysis and Interventions
- Identify learning needs of target audience, including conducting research and investigation in order to complete the needs identification.
- Propose learning interventions to stakeholders for adoption to address needs
- Implement learning interventions where required and appropriate to facilitate the acquisition of competencies
- Review learning needs after implementation of interventions to support continuous learning and development
Design learning solutions and interventions
Engage stakeholders to set overall learning and performance objectivesDetermine appropriate learning delivery mode to facilitate achievement of learning objectivesConduct feasibility and return on investment analyses to inform learning solution and intervention designPropose learning solutions and interventions to drive performance improvement and behaviour changeIdentify potential learning technologies and systems to support implementation of learning solutions and interventionsDevelop methods and materials to assess learner progress and competenceDefine success metrics and performance measures based on analysis of client’s objectives and learning solution and intervention specificationsDrive implementation of learning solutions and interventions
Develop implementation and communication plans for proposed learning solutions and interventionsEngage stakeholders to gain buy-in ahead of implementation of learning solutions and interventionsConduct learning solution and intervention trials in line with implementation planIncorporate feedback and outcomes of learning solution and intervention trialsFacilitate performance improvement and behaviour change through the implementation of learning solutions and interventionsImplement strategies to manage learner development during the implementation of learning solutions and interventionsManage issues which arise during the implementation of learning solutions and interventionsImplement learner and performance assessment methods and materials during the implementation of learning solutions and interventionsEvaluate curriculum effectiveness
Conduct feedback reviews with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate curriculum effectivenessEvaluate curriculum take-up rates, attendance, completion rates and assessment dataSynthesise analyses of learner assessment trendsOversee implementation of curriculum review processes to assess compliance with organisation’s quality assurance policiesEvaluate reported curriculum improvement areas against objectives and performance standardsRecommend and prioritise curriculum improvement areas based on analyses of objectives and performance standardsJob Holder Requirements
A tertiary qualification in relevant fieldACTA / ACLP certifiedDACE / DDDLP is advantageous but not mandatoryProven experience of design and delivery of high quality, evidence based training interventions and learning development activities, both face to face and digitalProven experience in developing competency-based learning programmes / interventions in the area of disability / special needs education.Demonstrable experience of consultancy work with a range of stakeholdersDemonstrated substantial experience (more than 5 years) in working with persons with disabilities and disability sector professionals (e.g. SPED educators, allied professionals)Post a CV
