Librarian Community Programmes - Central City Hub
This role is part of the Community Partnerships Team in the Central City Hub.
Your main location will be the Central City Hub but you will also be required to work at other sites – Albert Park Caretaker's Cottage, Ellen Melville Centre, and Te Wharekura, we are looking for someone who can work across these locations.
Day to day tasks of the role will include but not be limited to :
Working in a team to develop programmes and deliver meaningful engagements across our Hub.
Joining our frontline library service serving customers & delivering council services
Helping support staff in our exciting day-to-day operations.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity, the shift pattern for this role is as follows :
Friday :
Saturday :
Rostered days off : Sunday & Monday
Some key skills & attributes we will be looking for :
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
An ability to problem solve and think on your feet
A great sense of resilience and ability to navigate challenging situations
Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong relationship building skills and ability to work as part of a team
Comfortable with technology and able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices
Willing to 'muck-in' with the delivery and development of exciting community initiatives
Flexibility and collaboration across all aspects of your mahi
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Knowledge / understanding of Te Ao Maori and a willingness to learn

This role is a band F, we are expecting to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of $76,000 - $89,000, depending on skills & experience
