Role Description

We are seeking an Investment Manager specializing in Renewables & Green Hydrogen to join our team. As a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland, New Zealand, this position involves managing and optimizing investments in sustainable energy projects in New Zealand and other APAC countries such as Japan, Australia and ASEAN market. Responsibilities include conducting market analysis and due diligence, developing and executing investment strategies, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance project and business growth. The Investment Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners while contributing to Obayashi's Sustainability Vision 2050.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar, BESS, geothermal and green hydrogen projects, including debt sizing, profitability forecasts, and sensitivity analysis.
• Lead and assist valuation of asset, portfolio and platform M&A opportunities and Obayashi’s asset portfolio optimization.
• Support investment analysis and transactions in other APAC markets as needed.
