Electrical Engineer – Protection & Control (PAC)About the RoleWe're looking for an Electrical Engineer with hands-on Protection & Control (PAC) experience to help grow SecuControl's presence in North America.

You'll combine deep technical know-how (relay testing, field commissioning) with a proactive sales mindset : hunting new opportunities, building relationships, and promoting our test interfaces directly with end users or through channel partners.This full-time role reports to the Director of the US office and is based in our Alexandria, VA office (with frequent travel).

Key Responsibilities1.

Technical Sales & Business DevelopmentIdentify and pursue new sales opportunities within utilities, generation companies, PUDs, and switchgear / cabinet manufacturersLeverage your professional network to generate leads and set up technical evaluationsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with final customers and partnersPrepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demos, and proposalsRepresent SecuControl at trade shows, conferences, and customer training events2.

Protection & Control EngineeringCollaborate with customers on solution designs, integrating SecuControl test interfaces into their protection & control workflowsCollect and synthesize feedback from customer field reports to inform product refinements and application best practicesProvide application feedback to R&D teams in Germany and Brazil; contribute to continuous product improvementDevelop and update application notes, wiring diagrams, and test plans3.

Customer Support & TrainingDeliver technical training sessions (remote and onsite) for customers, sales reps, and partnersAct as lead technical contact for escalations and product-quality inquiriesCollaborate with Operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field (Master's a plus)3+ years of hands-on experience in Protection & Control engineering, with a focus on relay testing and field commissioningDemonstrated ability to blend technical expertise with a sales-oriented approachExceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiencesSelf-organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a small-team environmentWillingness to travel up to 50% (customer visits, trade shows, partner trainings)What We OfferCompetitive salary and bonus structure tied to sales / engineering performanceComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision)Opportunities for international collaboration and professional developmentA close-knit, innovative team that values your input and expertiseSecuControl is an equal opportunity employer.
