Overview

Tegel, New Zealand's leading poultry producer, is committed to staying at the top of our industry.

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, M365 and EntraID, networking, and system security, plus enthusiasm for two specialties : engaging with Manufacturing and Engineering staff to design, optimise and support factory-based manufacturing systems, and providing Application Engineering for our primary ERP system from a systems perspective.

Responsibilities

Liaison with Engineering staff across sites to understand requirements and roadmaps

Promote secure, supportable solutions that meet business needs

Collaborate with site staff and 3rd parties to implement and support manufacturing solutions

Day-to-day system support of our M3 ERP

User security administration within M3

Prepare for migrating M3 into the Cloud

Ad hoc data maintenance using SQL

Maintain and manage systems and infrastructure for high availability and performance

Plan, document, and execute technical changes following Change Management

Investigate and resolve complex technical issues; support other IS teams as needed

Contribute to projects to improve services or adopt new technologies

Participate in on-call support outside business hours

Provide escalation support (Tier 3) for the Service Desk and peers

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field, with at least 3 years of industry experience

Experience administering and supporting :

Microsoft Windows Server

Active Directory

IP networking

Storage (NetApp) and some experience with server and storage virtualization

PowerShell scripting

Experience with Incident, Request, and Change management in an Operations role

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with manufacturing industry applications

Experience with supporting large database-based applications

Experience with M365 tenant administration, network management tools, and router / firewall administration
