Learning support co-ordinator (LSC)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

We have an opportunity for an outstanding educator to join our 2 existing learning support coordinators (LSC) to work across 3 of our 7 schools (Y0–8) in the Taita / Stokes Valley cluster. Our vision is to be a strong, collaborative learning community which embraces our cultural diversity and maximises the opportunities for all family, whānau, students and teachers to meet their potential and enjoy success.

We are a united and collaborative cluster working to create a clear pathway for our tamariki from primary to secondary school. We have a wide range of cultures with Māori and Pasifika the majority. The successful applicant will be working with students, teachers, whānau and agencies to support student learning. Term 1 2026 start date.

Key attributes

• The ability to form positive, relationships with students / whānau and staff across our 7 schools
• Demonstrating successful experience in working with students with learningsupport needs in the classroom
• The ability to form effective collaborative relationships within our LSC team, with SENCo’s and senior staff across our schools
• A commitment to, and understanding of the learning support system and thelearning support action plan priorities
• The ability to engage at a school / kura and Kahui Ako leadership level working to enhance learning opportunities for identified students.
