Event Data Coordinator – Manukau Institute of Technology
Permanent part‑time role, 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week).
Are you passionate about data, events, and making a real impact? Ready to make a difference through data and teamwork? Join the heart of MIT’s most memorable moments!
In this pivotal role, you’ll be the go‑to expert for managing, analysing, and reporting on all event‑related data, especially for our flagship Graduation ceremonies. You’ll ensure our event registration systems run smoothly, maintain the highest standards of data accuracy and security, and provide valuable insights that help us deliver outstanding experiences for students, staff, and partners. Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau are essential to effectively manage complex datasets, create dynamic dashboards, and generate meaningful reports. Flexibility to work adjusted hours around major events is essential, as is a current driver’s licence. Most importantly, we’re seeking someone who’s willing to roll up their sleeves and muck in to support the wider Events Team when needed, whether it’s helping on the ground during Graduation or pitching in during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Be part of a team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and meaningful engagement with our community and partners. Help us make every event at MIT a success!

At MIT we work with passionate people who care for others and strive for excellence. We are committed to creating a culturally sensitive work environment in relation to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our workforce reflects the diversity of our students and community, and we seek to grow the number of Māori and Pasifika staff.
