We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinetmaker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinetry production, with the ability to create custom cabinets with precision and craftsmanship using sustainable, high-quality materials.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials to construct cabinets, furniture, and fixtures.Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, routers, jointers, and sanders.Fit and install completed units in designated locations, ensuring precision, alignment, and high-quality finish.Repair or modify existing furniture and cabinetry as required.Apply finishes such as varnish, stain, or paint to protect and enhance product appearance.Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in good condition and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.Collaborate with team members to meet project specifications and deadlines.Minimum Qualification and Work Experience Requirements
A relevant New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) Level 4 certificate; ORAt least three years of relevant work experienceOther Skills Required :
Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship.Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical drawings.Knowledge of different types of wood, laminates, and hardware fittings.Effective problem-solving and time management skills.Physical fitness and the ability to handle materials and operate machinery safely.
