Mo te turanga | About the role

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will use your advanced skillset across core risk activities to lead the identification, management, and mitigation of operational risk, supporting the Payments Tribe. You'll proactively deliver risk action plans, strengthen the control environment, and oversee risk and control processes to support risk awareness and buy-down. You'll coach and train risk capabilities within the Payments Tribe and the wider Corporate Banking Division, develop your own expertise in operational risk frameworks, and drive risk uplift initiatives. Your collaboration will ensure timely, accurate, and informative risk reporting, and you'll play a key role in driving material change to make risk simpler and easier for our teams.

This is a 6 month Fixed Term or Secondment opportunity, based at our beautiful North Wharf building in Wynyard Quarter.

Mou | About you

You bring at least 7 years' experience in financial services, preferably with exposure to payments or open banking risk management. Your advanced analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to quickly identify issues and proactively drive solutions. You have strong interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to network, influence, and relate well with those you lead, peers, senior management, and internal customers. Your communication and negotiation skills are excellent, and you can present clear, concise, and effective reports, commentary, and incident summaries.
