Gym / Club Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Club / Gym Manager to lead our membership growth, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure seamless daily operations of our gym facility. This role blends strategic sales leadership with hands-on management of service, staff, and operational standards.

Next Gen Clubs is growing Health and Lifestyle business with operations in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Melbourne and Auckland.

Key Rsponsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed membership and revenue targets.

Lead, train, and coach the sales team; set sales goals and measure performance.

Oversee member onboarding, retention initiatives, and member experience; resolve complaints and feedback professionally.

Manage daily gym operations : front desk, facilities maintenance, equipment safety, health & hygiene compliance.

Recruit, schedule, and supervise staff in sales, customer service, and gym floor.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators : membership numbers, sales metrics, retention rates, operational costs.

Collaborate with marketing / promotions to plan campaigns, events, or community partnerships to drive visibility.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience of at least two to three years in fitness / club management, preferably in fitness / gym / health & recreation sectors

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Customer-focused with ability to problem solve and resolve member issues.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations, gym equipment, facility management.

Competence with gym management software (or willingness to learn).

Preferably First Aid / CPR certification.

Qualification in business, marketing, sports or fitness management is an advantage.

Terms of Employment

Full-time Permanent

Hours per week : 40 hours (Including week ends as per roster)

Reports to : Management of the Next generation Sales team. Reports may be required as per the business requirements.

Pay rate_$30 -$40(Depending on experience)

Location_Auckland
