As our portfolio grows, we're seeking a Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer to take charge of key projects in the healthcare, data centre, and science sectors — and to serve as the primary representative to our clients.This is a leadership role where your technical expertise meets strategic relationship management.
You'll guide complex mechanical systems design, oversee multi-disciplinary project delivery, and act as the trusted face of Jacobs to our clients — ensuring their vision is realised with precision and care.Key Responsibilities : Lead mechanical design across high-profile, technically challenging projectsServe as the main point of contact for clients, building long-term partnershipsManage project scope, budgets, and timelines with autonomy and accountabilityCoordinate Building Consent approvals for designed servicesCarry out construction monitoring tasksWork collaboratively with the broader ANZ engineering teamRequirements : 10+ years mechanical engineering experience in large-scale projects with complex service systemsChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)Approved (or eligible for approval) to author Producer Statements for Auckland CouncilProven building design experience in New ZealandFamiliarity with New Zealand Building Code and relevant standardsStrong client-facing and design management capabilitiesThis role offers the right candidate significant autonomy, responsibility and leadership opportunities.
