As Principal Architect - Group Functions, you'll define and govern the target architecture for Finance, HR, Procurement, and other corporate functions, ensuring technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and business strategy.
You'll act as a trusted advisor, partnering with Finance stakeholders to deliver integrated, future-ready solutions across the hybrid IT landscape.Key responsibilitiesDefine and maintain the target architecture for Group Functions, with a particular focus on Finance, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and strategic goalsProvide architectural oversight and governance for Finance-led initiatives and broader Group Functions projectsEnsure compliance with architectural principles, patterns, and governance processesDevelop and maintain technology roadmaps, identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, and innovation in Finance systemsPartner with Finance leaders and delivery teams to ensure alignment between financial business needs and technology solutionsAbout YouYou're a strategic thinker with deep expertise in enterprise architecture and a strong understanding of corporate functions—especially Finance.
You're confident influencing architectural decisions, engaging stakeholders, and driving innovation across complex environments.Preferably a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalentExtensive experience in enterprise and solution architecture within large, complex organisationsStrong domain knowledge in Finance, including platforms such as SAP S / 4HANA Finance, Group Reporting, and financial planning toolsFamiliarity with HR and Procurement platforms such as SuccessFactors and AribaExpertise in integration patterns, cloud platforms, and security principlesProven ability to lead architectural decisions and influence across Finance and other stakeholder groupsExcellent communication, facilitation, and strategic thinking skillsOur Values and CommitmentsAt Fonterra, our values of Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts guide us in delivering exceptional outcomes.
