Join Our Team as a Maintenance Manager!

Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Team Lead to join our hotel team.

What are we looking for?

A Maintenance Person who has the following attributes :

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work on their own

Previous experience of facilities management

Ability to use all required tools and equipment's

Record / Log all maintenance work and submit monthly reports.

Responsibilities :

Day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules.

Planning, directing, and coordinating the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems (including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components).

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and building regulations.

Negotiating and managing contracts for building services and maintenance contractors.

Supervising facilities staff and contractors, ensuring work quality and adherence to safety standards.

Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas

Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property

Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations

Perform daily checks around the hotel

Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required.

Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.

Liaise with fire and emergency providers.

Plasterboard stopping & Painting Roles.

Diagnose, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel

Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers

Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise

Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses

Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment

Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Maintenance Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives

Requirements :

3 years' work experience or a relevant NZQF level 4 qualification and above.

Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

A valid New Zealand driver's license and willingness to travel between properties if required.

Flexibility to work occasional weekends or after-hours for urgent maintenance needs.
