OverviewHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RolesPermanentWe are seeking an experienced Health Care Assistant with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our team in the Emergency Department at North Shore Hospital.Following training and sign off, these roles may include extended responsibilities such as performing phlebotomy, ECGs, point-of-care testing, and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of registered nurses.These positions are rostered Monday – Sunday, therefore you must be prepared to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.Team / Service / LocationYou are expected to work well in a team, have excellent customer service skills and practices, uphold confidentiality and discretion, have a good command of oral and written English, and have knowledge and understanding of the health care system.About youTo be considered we will need the following : At least 2 years experience working in an acute environmentKnowledge and understanding of the healthcare systemSomeone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectivelyA New Zealand Citizen or ResidentWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
