HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

About the role : We are looking for an experiencedHealth Care Assistantto join our 30 bed inpatient General Medicine ward, Ward 6.

This ward is based at Middlemore Hospital and is part of the Division of Medicine service.

Health Care Assistantsare our RNs right hand people.

Assisting them with day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients, this is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work with different patients and families supporting the nurses.

As aHealth Care Assistantyou will be required to provide clinical care to our patients.

Our new team member must also be highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with our patients.

2+ years Health Care Assistant experience in New Zealand

Level 4 NZ Health Care Assistant certificate with 1+ years HCA experience in New Zealand

or NZ Level 3 Health Care Assistant certificate with 2+ years HCA experienceor equivalent (to be assessed) in New Zealand
