Datacom is seeking a Senior Developer to develop and maintain applications software. This role involves approximately one third of the time spent writing code / programming.

Base pay range

NZ$90,000.00 / yr - NZ$120,000.00 / yr

The Senior Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications software. This role involves approximately one third of the employee's time spent writing code / programming.

What you'll do

• Develop custom solutions, including planning, controlling and reporting on progress.
• Design, code, test and install applications programs in one major language or across multiple platforms.
• Develop operating and system documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and users to evaluate application requirements.
• Ensure systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and meet design and security standards.
• Oversee analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of programs for enterprise or end-user applications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Monitor the performance and availability of systems hardware and software.
• Install, test and maintain new or modified systems software.
• Analyze and rectify operating systems problems.
