About the Role
The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus.
We're looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant with a can-do attitude to join our busy Physiotherapy team in Older Persons Health.

The position could be based in a variety of areas to be confirmed at offer e.g. Hydrotherapy, OPHR, Stroke, Spinal.
This is a fast paced environment working with a team of Physiotherapists and 1 other Physiotherapy assistant.
Most care is delivered in a purpose built gymnasium carrying out treatment plans and supervising exercise programmes as delegated by the Physiotherapist.
Tasks will include :
Departmental duties such as cleaning / maintaining equipment and clinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stock
Delivering and set up of equipment across the hospital
Supervision of exercise programmes in the inpatient setting including group work
Assist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmes
Assist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one to one rehabilitation treatment
About you
Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator
The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settings
Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health
Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health is a requirement, A qualification in any health field would be an advantage
Knowledge of safe manual handling processes
Full NZ drivers licence essential with the ability to drive a manual car
