Henderson Intermediate School is seeking a passionate and innovative science teacher to join our team from 28 January 2025.

Our Tech Department consists of six specialist teachers who work collaboratively to deliver engaging, hands-on learning programmes that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of discovery in our ākonga. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching in the middle years and understands the unique opportunities and challenges that come with this age group.

You’ll be teaching in a purpose build science room— a fantastic space for delivering interactive, inquiry-based lessons that bring science to life and encourage students to explore the world around them.

What we’re looking for :

• A New Zealand registered teacher
• A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum.
• A genuine passion for working with students in the middle years
• Someone who can create an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment
• A team player with excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
