The successful candidate will :
Have attained a Bakery Qualification of Level 3 or higher or extensive experience in a bakery
Have previous management or leadership experience in a bakery or supermarket environment
Be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift heavy items (up to 15kg)
Be available to work weekends
The roster for this position is Wednesday to Sunday, 4am to 1.30pm.
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Effectively supervising a diverse team to achieve retail merchandising standards, including overseeing staff training and development
Communicating with people across multiple levels of the business to ensure efficient operations and stock movements
Coordinating inwards goods, storeroom, retail filling and fuel site processes
Unloading freight and receipting orders into the business
Moving stock throughout the business including using forklifts and manual handling work
Complying with and actively promoting food safety and health and safety procedures throughout the supermarket
Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, Permanent Residency or NZ Work Permit valid for more than 6 months.
