Bank Support Worker

This is a temporary Bank Support Worker role at Elysium Healthcare's Wellesley Hospital in Wellington, Somerset. Main duties of the job

As a Bank Support Worker, you will join a team that works together to provide care for people with mental health conditions at the Wellesley Hospital in Wellington. You will utilize your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker to support individuals in improving their well-being and independence. The environment can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.

Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Wellesley Hospital secured that you want.

Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

What you will be doing

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with (service type e.g. Mental Health) conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24 / 7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with mental health needs.

There are 6 wards for people with mental health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with mental health issues.
