English Teacher Y9-13

Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacherWe are looking for a teacher of English to work across the middle and senior years in our kura.

You will have a strong knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum, a growing understanding of mana orite mo te matauranga Maori and the enthusiasm to build this into your learning programmes.You will have a passion for literature and enthusiasm for literacy and be dedicated to growing this passion and the engagement of our akonga in the learning area.

There may be opportunities to also teach across learning areas such as the performing arts / drama.

This position would suit a New Zealand registered teacher of English at any point in their career.We are New Zealand's largest area school, and we are situated in the coastal town of Whitianga on the beautiful east coast of the Coromandel peninsula.
