Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom : no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed, Fluctuating Temps hot / cold, Loud Noises (Equipment / Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous / toxic materials.

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific at our Penrose facility, producing world-class cell culture media and freeze-dried powder products under the Gibco brand, used globally in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

The Role :

We are seeking a Process Operator / Manufacturing Technician to join our Biomanufacturing Unit. You\'ll process animal blood-derived material into sterile liquid and freeze-dried products. This full-time position rotates between afternoon shift and night shift , based on business needs.

Afternoon shift operates 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm, Monday to Friday.

Night shift operates 2 : 30pm to 1 : 00am, Tuesday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform daily production activities following defined procedures.
• Maintain cGMP and ISO standards.
• Perform manual handling tasks and operate various machines.
• Communicate production issues to supervisors.
