We are seeking 5 caring and professional Health Care Assistants to join our team in a well-established rest home providing high-quality residential aged care services.

The role involves delivering compassionate, person-centred support to residents in partnership with nurses and other healthcare staff.

Location of Work : Auckland

Number of Vacancies : 5

Type of employment : full time, guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week

Days required : shifting between Monday to Sunday

Pay : $27 - $31 per hour based on qualification and experience

Your duties will include :

Provide daily personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.

Assist residents with safe mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.

Support residents with eating, drinking, and medication reminders under supervision.

Make beds, tidy resident rooms, and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with infection-control standards.

Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident health or behaviour to the Registered Nurse or Supervisor.

Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to promote residents' dignity and well-being.

Follow individual care plans, rest-home policies, and Health & Safety requirements at all times.

Successful applicants will have :

Relevant NZ Certificate (Level 4) or equivalent qualification; OR at least three years of relevant experience in aged care or disability support.

Demonstrated knowledge of personal care procedures, manual handling, and infection control.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work flexible hours and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Police vetting clearance required.
