Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Teacher who is a passionate advocate for inclusive mainstream education to work with students funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS).
This vital role focuses on providing specialised educational support for students with high and very high learning needs, ensuring they receive a quality, tailored education that enables them to achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will be adept at catering for diversity and will support the school's strategic goals, as well as the wider changes in the New Zealand Curriculum and the new education qualification system.
The ability to work in a way that is reflective, supportive, and collaborative with a strong commitment to enabling the success of all students including a focus on Maori and Pasifika achievement.

Responsibilities
Provide specialised educational support for students funded through ORS with high and very high learning needs.
Deliver flexible, learner-centred, and future-focused learning to enable students to achieve their full potential.
Support inclusive mainstream education and contribute to the school's strategic goals and curriculum implementation.
Collaborate reflectively and supportively with staff, with a focus on enabling success for all students, including Maori and Pasifika achievement.
Support and contribute to PB4L and Restorative practices within the school and participate in related initiatives and extracurricular opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
Current practicing certificate issued by the New Zealand Teaching Council.
Experience is preferred; the role is described as suitable for experienced teachers.
Ability to work reflectively, in a supportive and collaborative manner.
Terms and Application
This position is fixed term and part time, commencing at the start of Term 1, 2026.
There may be a possibility of an increase in hours.
