Job Description

Be part of one of Queenstown's most exciting new F&B launches!

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort has been completely refurbished, unveiling a brand-new upscale dining and bar experience with panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu.

We're looking for a passionate Assistant Bar Manager to help lead our team and deliver premium guest experiences.

About the Venue

Newly refurbished, upscale hotel F&B operation.

Curated wine cellar of New Zealand's finest wines.

Premium bar with spirits from around the world.

Seasonal menu by returning legend Chef Gerhard Gerber, featuring NZ seafood, meats & produce.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily bar operations with a focus on premium guest experiences.

Support the Bar Manager in training, mentoring, and motivating the team.

Oversee stock control, beverage ordering, and supplier relationships.

Contribute to the creation and delivery of a dynamic cocktail and beverage offering.

Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety standards.

Work closely with the wider F&B team to deliver seamless, memorable dining experiences.

Qualifications

About You

Previous leadership experience in a high-end bar, restaurant, or hotel environment.

Strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, and premium spirits.

A passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Proven ability to lead, inspire, and grow a team.

Organised, hands-on, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
