Role Overview
We are seeking skilled Painters to join our employer partners in New Zealand. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, coatings, and finishes, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Painters may work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects,
including spray painting and decorative finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, repairing, and priming as required.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other protective or decorative coatings using brush,roller, or spray equipment.
- Hang wallpaper or vinyl coverings where required.
- Mix and match paints and ensure even application of coatings.
- Operate and maintain spray guns, compressors, and other painting equipment.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with supervisors, clients, and team members to meet project timelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of materials
Requirements
Qualifications
Trade Certificate or relevant training in Painting, Decorating, or Industrial Spray Painting preferred.Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.Experience with spray painting and powder coating techniques is desirable.Skills
Strong knowledge of painting methods, surface preparation, and coating applications.Ability to work with a variety of surfaces including wood, concrete, metal, and plaster.Good eye for detail, colour matching, and finish quality.Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.Strong awareness of health and safety practices.Benefits
Starting from NZD $31.00 per hour, with additional allowances,
