We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at an extremely busy cafe. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about hospitality.
About the Role
As the Café General Manager, you will be responsible for :
Overseeing all daily café operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
Leading, training, and developing a diverse team
Maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, and presentation
Managing rosters, stock control, and supplier relationships
Driving operational improvements and ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety regulations
Working closely with owners / management on budgeting, forecasting, and achieving financial targets
Contributing to menu development and implementing seasonal offerings
Upholding the café’s reputation as a welcoming and professional destination for visitors
About You
We are looking for someone who :
Has proven experience in hospitality management or a similar leadership role
Is confident managing a team and leading by example
Works well under pressure and remains organised in a busy setting
Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
Is financially savvy with experience in budgeting, cost control, and rostering
Takes pride in providing excellent customer service
Understands food safety, health and safety, and hospitality best practices
Is flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting a positive team culture
