This is a 0.7 FTTE position (three days per week), with the option to extend to a full-time (1 FTTE) role by adding a CRT teaching component if preferred.About the roleAbout the roleThe SLA teacher will lead and support the continued implementation of the Better Start Literacy Approach (BSLA) and other structured literacy initiatives.

Key responsibilities include : Overseeing the delivery of Tier 2 and Tier 3 BSLA interventionsUsing data to monitor student progress and guide next steps in teachingSupporting systems for early identification and targeted literacy supportWorking collaboratively with leadership and teaching teams to strengthen school-wide practice.About youAbout you We are looking for a teacher who : Holds full New Zealand Teacher registrationHas classroom experience in a New Zealand primary schoolDemonstrates strong understanding of Structured Literacy and the Better Start Literacy Approach (BSLA) (experience preferred)Communicates effectively, builds strong relationships, and works collaborativelyIs committed to inclusive, evidence-based practice that accelerates literacy progress for all learnersCommitted to undertaking professional development in this area.How to applyPlease look on our website for an application form.
