About the Role
Were looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Elective Booking Coordinator to join our Outpatient and Surgical Services team at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, Hawkes Bay.
In this role, youll be responsible for managing outpatient and surgical bookings, maintaining waiting lists, and coordinating elective surgery schedules in line with national standards and Ministry of Health targets.
Youll play a key role in ensuring patients are booked in order of priority, clinic and theatre utilisation is maximised, and all data is accurately entered into the patient management system.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred service.
About the Team / Service / Location
Youll be based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, working within the Administration Services team and reporting to the Booking Manager.
Youll collaborate closely with booking coordinators, outpatient staff, nurses, consultants, and other clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination of care.
