About the Role
Our local health sector is undergoing innovative expansion and modification with new public and private imaging facilities under construction.
The hospital supports a wide range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. As a Radiologist you will be supporting these services through regular MDTs as well as your day to day work delivering high quality care, ongoing quality improvement, developing new services through innovation and teaching.
It is anticipated that, once settled, you may also want to work in the private sector. This will be supported.
About the Team / Service / Location
You will be part of a collaborative collegial team of up to eleven providing high quality care, improving equity and health outcomes for our local population, with a high Māori and Pasifika population. The team is part of the regional training programme with currently one registrar.
There are many opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that will complement the department’s current service, with high levels of unmet need in our community. We also have close regional ties with other imaging departments, other specialities that we interact with, as well as regional and tertiary services to provide a comprehensive package of care.
