What is the role of a Programme Coordinator at MSD?
The Programme Coordinator is a critical role that connects MSD clients with MSD’s employment‑related programmes and services. Our high‑performing PC team are responsible for sourcing and managing client referrals from our frontline teams to get the right people into our programmes. This involves :

It’s a people role – great if you enjoy meeting and engaging with people, internally and in the community. Some desk work and some out and about.
It’s a rewarding role – you are matching people to the courses and programmes that are right for them. You’re directly involved in helping people and their whānau get to a better life outcome.
It’s interesting and varied work – we have a wide range of programmes from helping people to manage their mental health, advice on personal presentation and help with clothing for interviews, along with all the support available for getting ready for work, CV and interview preparation, industry‑specific courses e.g. Contact Centre, Project Management, Customer Service, Construction, Hospitality, etc.
Marketing & promotions involved – so you can be creative, show and develop your presentation skills.
In this role you will also help advise our job seekers about courses and programmes which help them identify their natural potential, learn new skills, and prepare them for employment. You will interact with our own people, providers, community groups and other key stakeholders, providing information and support. It’s all about identifying sustainable employment outcomes for our clients to support them to be economically independent.
