This is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in a role that directly contributes to better, fairer cancer care.As part of our Data & Analytics team, you'll help deliver national cancer informatics programmes – including our flagship initiative, CanShare.
Working with clinicians, Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, vendors, and internal teams, you'll ensure our systems and solutions are practical, connected, and designed to meet the real needs of the sector.Shape meaningful solutions : Partner with technical and clinical experts to define business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable plans.Be the bridge between people and technology : Help ensure communication flows smoothly across diverse stakeholders, from data specialists to decision-makers.Guide delivery and insight : Support the planning, coordination, and documentation of projects that bring our digital and data initiatives to life.Bring structure and visibility : Create roadmaps, specifications, and reports that keep teams aligned and stakeholders informed.Support continuous improvement : Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities to refine how we work and deliver better outcomes.Champion equity and collaboration : Uphold our Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments and help build a connected, positive, and inclusive team culture.You'll also be a valued member of our wider agency – participating in initiatives that strengthen connection and culture, such as team development sessions, waiata practice, and Kaimahi days.

We're after a skilled Business Analyst who can focus on understanding how data and digital solutions support people and processes, rather than on technical data analysis.Ko pukenga - What you'll bringWe're looking for someone who is collaborative, curious, and committed to making a difference.
You'll bring : Relevant qualifications or experience in business analysis and / or project management (e.g. IIBA, PMP, PRINCE2)Experience working in the health sector, ideally with exposure to clinical or digital health environmentsStrong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate data and technical detail into meaningful insightsFamiliarity with standards like SNOMED CT and FHIR (advantageous but not essential)A proactive, team-oriented approach and a willingness to contribute across projectsAn understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori tikanga and kawaJoin Te Aho o Te Kahu – Nga turanga e watea anaWorking at Te Aho o Te Kahu is inspiring, meaningful and rewarding.
