We’re seeking a proactive Social Media Manager to craft and execute our social‑media strategy across platforms, amplify brand awareness, drive user acquisition, and engage a global community of learners.
Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain an annual social‑media calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns, and seasonal trends.
Identify the best platforms and formats (e.g., Reels, Stories, Threads, TikToks, LinkedIn posts) to reach both emerging and established English‑learners.
Content Creation & Curation :
Write, design, and publish engaging posts—mixing video snippets from our Immersive Learn module, user success stories, pronunciation tips, quizzes, and behind‑the‑scenes content.
Collaborate with the in‑house design and video teams (or external creative partners) to produce on‑brand graphics, animations, and short‑form videos.
Community Management :
Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions; respond promptly to questions, celebrate wins, and foster positive engagement.
Build relationships with micro‑influencers, brand ambassadors, and language‑learning communities to boost word‑of‑mouth.
Analytics & Optimization :
Track key metrics (followers, reach, engagement rate, click‑throughs, conversion from free to paid trial) using tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or native platform insights.
Analyze performance data weekly / monthly to refine content mix, posting cadence, and paid social spend.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with Product, Growth, and Customer Success teams to surface user stories, beta features, and community feedback.
Coordinate with Paid Ads specialists to align organic and paid efforts for maximum ROI.
Stay up to date on emerging social channels, platform algorithm changes, and trending content formats.
Pilot new formats and technologies (e.g., TikTok challenges, AR filters, AI‑driven content) to keep OwnFluent at the cutting edge.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
3+ years of hands‑on experience managing social media for a tech, ed‑tech, or consumer‑facing brand.
Proven track record of growing organic engagement and user acquisition across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter / X).
Strong copywriting skills with an eye for storytelling, tone consistency, and SEO best practices.
Familiarity with social‑media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Buffer, Google Analytics).
Basic graphic / video‑editing proficiency (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
Data‑driven mindset : comfortable setting KPIs, A / B testing, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
Passion for education, language learning, or cultural exchange is a plus.
Excellent project‑management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns under tight deadlines.
