Event Manager

Join Randstad New Zealand as an Event Manager.

This is a temporary, short-term assignment based in Wellington Central, with a flexible work schedule of 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end management of the client's major annual company conference scheduled for November 26th – 28th.

Plan, coordinate, and execute all phases of the event lifecycle, including post-event wrap-up.

Select, negotiate, and manage external vendors or event partners to deliver a high-quality event.

Coordinate seamlessly with the internal EA and Communication Manager to ensure alignment with internal objectives.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar senior event coordination role, ideally with large-scale corporate or cultural conferences.

Exceptional organisational, project management, and time-management skills.

Experience managing external vendors and event partners.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a tight-knit team.

Any experience or appreciation for Maori cultural initiatives and terminology is highly beneficial.
