Sanford, New Zealand's largest seafood company, is seeking
two Applications Support Analysts
to join our dynamic Information Systems (IS) team based in our Auckland head office.
We're looking for two great people - one with established experience in business application support, and one looking to grow their career in this space.
These roles are hands-on, varied, and ideal for problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-changing environment.
You'll work as part of a supportive team that ensures the smooth running, enhancement, and continuous improvement of our critical business systems - including our ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O) and MES (Axin / Innova).
Sanford's IS team plays a key role in keeping our technology environment running efficiently, supporting our people across the business, from factories to vessels.
This work is dynamic and constantly evolving from resolving day-to-day issues to supporting new features and system upgrades.
Applications Support Analyst (experienced)
This position suits someone who has worked in application support or systems administration and is ready to take on broad responsibility across multiple systems.You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, administering, and enhancing applications, collaborating closely with business users, and driving ongoing improvements in how we support and develop our ERP and MES systems.
Key responsibilities :
Provide hands-on support for business-critical applications (ERP, MES, and others)
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and requests
Perform system configuration, user administration, and role management
Support releases, upgrades, and testing activities
Identify and implement process or system improvements
Collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams
About you :
Proven experience in application support or systems administration
Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O) and ideally MES
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Confident communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical people
Curious, proactive, and comfortable working in an evolving environment
A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, business systems, or similar is preferred.
Applications Support Analyst (entry-Level / trainee)
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to develop a rewarding career in business applications.
You'll work alongside experienced team members, learning the ins and outs of Sanford's ERP and MES systems, and gradually build your capability to provide independent application support.
There's a clear growth pathway, with the goal of becoming a fully capable Applications Support Analyst within two years.
About you :
A recent graduate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business
OR 1-2 years' experience in a helpdesk or IT support role
Keen interest in business systems and how technology supports operations
Eager to learn, ask questions, and solve problems
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate
You don't need to know everything, we'll support your development and provide hands-on experience with real systems and challenges.
Enjoy solving complex problems and learning how systems work
Adaptable and comfortable with change
Communicate clearly and work well with others
Take ownership and pride in providing great service
