About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Therapy Assistant to join our engAGE Allied Health team. In this hands-on role, youll support registered clinical staff across Napier and Hastings, working in both community and outpatient clinic settings to help people and whanau improve their health outcomes.
Youll assist with rehabilitation activities, home exercise programmes, and the delivery and installation of equipment that supports independence in daily living.
Youll also play a key role in supporting safe use of our gym and hydrotherapy pool at Napier Health Centre. This role involves regular driving and transporting equipment between locations, so being physically fit and comfortable working on the move is essential.
About the Team / Service / Location
The engAGE Community Allied Health Service employs around 50 staff, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists, Clinical Nurse Specialists - Gerontology, Allied Health Assistants, Administrators, and our Fracture Liaison Service.
We have two established teams based in Napier and Hastings, working together to achieve the best outcomes for our community.

About you
Were looking for a `can-do person whos passionate about supporting others to live their best life. Youll bring :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
A clean, full NZ drivers licence.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
A positive attitude with a problem-solving focus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical fitness to move, transport, and install equipment.
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice.
Desired : Level 4 Health and Disability Qualification, experience with therapy equipment, MOH Service Accreditation for ENABLE equipment, and experience working in a team environment.
