Job Description

Due to continued growth in the energy sector, we are expanding our Transmission & Distribution team and are seeking an additional Substation Design Engineer with primary or secondary experience to join our Christchurch office.

How you'll make a difference

Performing concept and detailed design of primary and / or secondary systems for transmission and distribution substation projects.

Preparing primary and / or secondary design drawings, specifications and reports.

Supporting senior engineers with the preparation of project and bid documentation as required.

Liaising with team leads, project managers and project team members to deliver designs within allocated time, budget and required scope.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

The qualities that help you thrive :

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar.

2-5 years' experience in substation design, ideally within a consultancy.

Experience working in teams and taking ownership of project deliverables.

Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with ability to take opportunities and drive learning and development.
