Job description

• smoothing out imperfections on vehicle panels
• sanding surfaces manually and with electric sanders
• covering sections that shouldn’t be painted using tape and masking paper
• matching colours and blending paints to achieve the correct shade, or choosing ready-mixed options
• applying primer and top coats with spray guns, including sanding between layers
• performing paint touch-ups and polishing vehicle surfaces
• removing masking materials, then waxing and buffing completed paintwork
• creating signage and decorative artwork on vehicles
• applying rust-prevention treatments to vehicles
• preparing vehicle surfaces, mixing and matching colours, and applying paint; registration or licensing may be necessary
• carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned by the employer
