Senior Finance Business Partner - Shared Services Programme

We are partnering with a large organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner.

About the role : This newly created senior role is a unique opportunity to influence the financial future of one of New Zealand’s largest and most complex public organisations. Be involved in a major Shared Services transformation programme, providing financial support and advice to aid decision through shaping business cases, developing a cost recovery framework, and embedding finance into the design of the organisation’s future operating model.

This position is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who can combine technical expertise with strong communication and relationship skills — someone equally capable of building robust financial models as they are of advising and influencing executives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior finance partner for the Shared Services programme.
• Lead the development of business cases, cost–benefit analysis and financial modelling.
• Design and implement a group-wide cost recovery / recharge model.
• Contribute to the design of finance processes, systems and reporting for the future operating model.
• Engage and partner with executives, programme leads and other key stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Provide financial insights that highlight risks, opportunities, and support savings delivery.
